RIYADH, Saudi Arabia — Strataphy, a pioneer in advanced geothermal cooling solutions, and Saudi Tabreed District Cooling Company, the Kingdom’s premier district cooling provider, have officially signed a landmark strategic partnership agreement. Announced at the Public Investment Fund (PIF) Private Sector Forum, the collaboration aims to co-develop and deploy next-generation, sustainable cooling infrastructure tailored for the rapidly expanding AI and digital ecosystem in Saudi Arabia.
As Saudi Arabia accelerates its digital transformation aligned with Vision 2030, the Kingdom is preparing for a massive expansion of digital infrastructure, with more than 3 GW of data center capacity projected in the development pipeline. Because advanced AI compute workloads scale exponentially, thermal management has rapidly emerged as the primary operational and environmental bottleneck.
To address this challenge, the partnership will integrate Strataphy’s proprietary PrimeLoop geothermal cooling technology into Saudi Tabreed’s established utility-scale district cooling platforms. This hybrid approach introduces a highly efficient, closed-loop model capable of delivering low-carbon cooling at a massive scale, while drastically minimizing water consumption—a critical factor for the region's climate.
Key Strategic Objectives of the Partnership:
