Strataphy proudly served as an official sponsor of the AAPG/EAGE Geothermal Energy in the Middle East workshop held in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia—an event that brought together leading scientists, engineers, and policymakers to shape the future of geothermal in the region.
Strataphy played a prominent role in the event through two key talks delivered by its leadership team, highlighting both the policy vision and economic case for geothermal energy in the Kingdom.
Dr. Ammar Alali, CEO of Strataphy, opened the first technical session with a forward-looking talk titled:
“Accelerating Geothermal Cooling Adoption in Saudi Arabia: A Legislative Roadmap for Large-Scale Implementation.”
In his remarks, Dr. Alali outlined the regulatory, permitting, and legal frameworks needed to scale geothermal cooling infrastructure nationwide. He emphasized how thoughtful policy design can unlock Saudi Arabia’s vast but underutilized geothermal potential—paving the way for cleaner, more resilient energy systems aligned with Vision 2030.
Following that, Strataphy’s COO, Ahmed Alhani, delivered a talk titled:
“Redefining Cooling: The Economic Advantages of Geothermal Systems in the Kingdom.”
Alhani detailed how Strataphy’s geothermal technologies outperform conventional cooling systems by delivering lower operational costs, higher energy efficiency, and strong long-term financial returns. He highlighted use cases across agriculture, industry, and commercial buildings—reinforcing that geothermal is not only viable in Saudi Arabia, but economically superior and ready for rapid deployment.
As the only geothermal company both presenting and sponsoring the event, Strataphy continues to lead the charge in turning Saudi Arabia’s geothermal resources into scalable, real-world solutions. Through technical innovation and ecosystem-building, Strataphy is helping to redefine how cooling is delivered across the region.
